Hey Mac Attacks,
I started writing an e -mail to Web Ed earlier today and by the time I was done and said to him that I'll have to do an update on this, I already did one. In case you didn't know, I took that S-10 that I got last year, pulled the motor and had it built for my circle track car. During that time frame, I ended up selling the dragster without the motor and trans. The trans went into the 2 A.M. of Wild Side and the motor went into the corner of the garage. After a few weeks of the truck sitting out back, me and April decided to put the dragster motor in it and maybe do some Friday Night Street Car Racing at Numidia Dragway. Well, after a complete over haul, the little truck is done. This project only took me 15 months. I'll get some pics to Webster Ed to put up on the site. It's a cool machine. April will be the main driver until she scares herself and wants nothing else to d o with it. Then I'll either run it or sell it. So happy reading and stay tuned because I have an update coming real soon to kick this year off. Major changes have taken place. To give a little insight, it revolves around a JMac, K Mac and two cars. Stay tuned!!! You guys and gals are finally going to get a totally different aspect of MAC BROTHERS RACING.
News From The Track
This past Saturday, me and April headed to Numidia for a day of testing and tuning with the S-10. The truck passed tech inspection, I got to recoup with some of the guys that I met when I ran the dragster. The head tech guy was "going" to allow me and April to be in the truck together for a few passed. Since she has never drag raced before, they "were" going to allow us to burn out, stage the truck, take off and shut down at half track. No full passes. Liability issues. If I was running 15 second passes, then there would be no issues but after they seen that motor stuffed in there, we all knew this bad little girl was going to put some serious times up on the board. I was thrilled to death and so was April. She didn't want to head out by herself for the first time. Since the truck was never raced before, they wanted me to do a few passes by myself to make sure nothing falls off the truck.
I rolled into the water, did a big smokey burn out, staged the truck and took off. I knew I had some changes to make to the rear gears and I knew the torque converter in the transmission wasn't right for drag racing but I wasn't there to lay down big numbers. We were more there for April to get the feel for this sport. So I hit the gas and the truck slowly takes off. Again, the rear gears and torque converter are not 1/4 mile racing worthy. About 30 feet into it, the truck comes to life and I mean, it just starts hauling some serious ass. I got to the 1250 +/- foot marker and there was such a booooooom under my ass, I thought I pooped myself. I shut the motor off and looked in the side mirror to only see the drive shaft about 50 feet in the air and in two pieces. The force was so dramatic, it ripped the drive shaft "safety" loop I installed right out of the floor. The tech guys weren't t oo happy when they seen that but we learn from our mistakes.
Nothing severe happened, thank God. The first freak'n pass!!! The tech guy was laughing because he said that it was going to be a long, quiet ride home because the wife doesn't get to run it at all. Anyway, I ended up running a 13.06 at 109 MPH. This truck should run in the 11's once I can get to run more than one pass before it breaks. I enclosed a picture. More pieces for the Wall of Shame in the Garage.

Back to the drawing board.
Alright guys, that's it for today. JMac, Merr and Mama Mac are in Vegas Land this week. I am waiting for that phone call and not the one that requires me to wire money to Vegas because th ey lost it all and now don't have money for the tolls on 476!!
