Mac Brothers hates to be the barer of bad news, especially before the holidays, but we had a death in the racing community. David Babula, brother to Ronnie Babula, the driver of the #37 Street Stock, died on December 14, 2004. David was only 31 and lived with his 11 year old daughter, Sabrina.
Sorry but that is all the information that I have. As I get more I will post on the site.
All here at the Mac camp are saddened by this news and have heavy hearts going into this holiday season, but we will keep the Babula Family in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mac Fans-
As most of you may have already seen from our opening page on the web site, we at Mac Brothers Racing would like to ask each and every one of our loyal fans to keep the Babula Family in your thoughts and prayers. Having a racing associate suddenly pass on - just sucks!! Dave Babula was fairly close to the Mac Camp. Ronnie would spend all his money keeping one hell of a cool ride that would just dominate the competition any given Saturday night at The Mountain, but he lacked tools and equipment. That’s where the Mac’s came into play, The Babula Camp would always make sure they camped out next to us, where the tool supply is never ending. Since Ronnie was constantly late getting to the races, Dave would suit up and put hot laps on the #37 Street Stock. Did Ronnie approve of this? Well, you decide. But hey, what are brothers for? Do I listen to JMac all the time?? Does JMac listen to me all the time??
What scares the hell out of me is that Dave was only 31 years old before being called up to the biggest racetrack in the sky. He is now tuning a car for some driver to run the "Heavenly 500".
Dave, our thoughts and prayers are with you buddy and some day we'll all get to take that finial lap together. You will be truly missed by many!!
